Which courses are currently offered?
Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. 7th Grade Math and CLEP College Algebra are planned future additions.
What does the $60 monthly course program include?
Full-year teacher-created curriculum, live and recorded lessons, online activities, printable notes, assignments and grades, three hours of weekly office-hour access and daily email support.
How do families register for a course?
Course registration is not completed online. Contact Leina with the student’s grade and course of interest, and she will provide current registration information.
Are the courses only prerecorded?
No. The program includes live lessons, recorded lessons, activities and teacher office hours in a small, subject-specific group setting.
How is student progress monitored?
Coursework is organized through Google Classroom. Formative activities, assignments and grades are monitored. When a student falls behind, added office-hour attendance may be required and the parent will be notified.
What does “enrolled student” mean in the tutoring rates?
It means a student enrolled in a Be The Light Mathematics full-year course. Additional tutoring is $15 per 30 minutes for enrolled students and $30 per 30 minutes for other students.
Who can schedule tutoring?
Tutoring is available for all mathematics grade levels. Sessions may be online or in person and are customized to the student’s needs.
What if the calendar does not show a workable tutoring time?
Email Leina at lgreen@bethelightmathematics.net with the student’s needs and general availability. Any alternative time is subject to Leina’s availability.
What technology, schedule or materials are required?
These details may vary by course and current offering. Leina will provide the applicable information during the enrollment inquiry process.
